LEE RUDNICKI, ATTORNEY AT LAW, P.C.

Lee Rudnicki is a distinguished entertainment lawyer with 25+ years of experience representing high-profile clients in film, TV, music, and international productions. A former world-class drummer, Lee’s legal career spans global negotiations, from Silicon Valley to Hollywood. He’s produced films worldwide, including Wonderwell, starring Carrie Fisher. Lee has also served as General Counsel and EVP for top studios, managing complex legal matters in animation and gaming. Fluent in Italian and English, Lee brings a global perspective and unmatched legal expertise to entertainment law.




Before entering law, Lee Rudnicki was a world-class rudimental drummer, endorsed by Pearl Drums and Zildjian Cymbals. He won the 1989 Drum Corps International World Championship and earned three DCI High Percussion Awards. Lee earned his B.A. in Music Performance from San Jose State University in 1991.


Lee entered law school at the University of San Francisco in 1995, completing international law studies in Prague and Dublin, earning his J.D. in 1998. He later received a Professional Certificate in Screenwriting from UCLA in 2007. Lee’s legal expertise extends to teaching, as an adjunct law professor, and as the author of How to Pass the California Bar Exam.

Lee’s legal career began at Vividence as corporate counsel, where he streamlined contract negotiations, enabling swift closures of high-stakes technology deals. Between 2002 and 2004, Lee was an entertainment litigator in San Francisco, representing major clients like Clear Channel and the San Francisco Symphony.

As General Counsel for Eleven Arts (2004–2010), Lee negotiated key Japanese-American co-productions, including The Harimaya Bridge and Haunted Highway. He played a pivotal role in building their library for worldwide distribution, representing the company at international markets like Cannes.

From 2010 to 2018, Lee served as General Counsel for Strange Quark Films, producing Wonderwell in Italy with Carrie Fisher and Rita Ora. His leadership in Rome was key to overcoming international production challenges.

At Lex and Otis Studios (2018–2023), Lee was EVP of Business Affairs, providing legal expertise for video game and animation projects like Ark: Survival Evolved, Army of the Dead, and Trese. His experience spans intellectual property management, corporate risk, and international production law.

Lee’s hands-on experience as a film producer often results from stepping in to resolve unforeseen issues, bringing a positive and solution-driven approach to any production.
